Trade Marketing Analyst


The Trade Marketing Analyst is an energetic and enthusiastic teamplayer who has a passion for driving business through insights drawn fromanalysis. Position is responsible for supporting the Drug & Beauty teams,which will involve working directly with the full Drug channel and customerteams.

The focus of this position is to support the overall objectives ofthe Drug & Beauty Teams, by providing reporting & analysis based oncategory dynamics and market conditions across the customer base. The role will include extensive systems reporting(Merlin, Nielsen, Customer POS) along with building insights and the ability tosurface issues and drivers for the Business Development Manager and Team Director. The Trade Marketing Analyst will be the leadon all in depth reporting on volume, share, spend, Perfect Store, OPSO, andwill be responsible for helping to build presentations and support ad-hocrequests across the team. The TMA heavily supports the Business DevelopmentManager's review of customer-level volume and spend, challenging inaccuracies& inefficiencies where appropriate.

Who YouAre & What You'll Do

  • The TMA will work very closely with the DrugDivision Business Development Manager (BDM) and Team Director. The TMA will provide reporting and drawinsights from analysis that can be put into action across the Division. He/she will support other projects requestedby the BDM and Director, and will be expected to surface issues discoveredduring routine analysis and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain routine and ad hocreports
  • Monitor Spend and Volume on account &division basis
  • Alert Business Development Manager of issuessurfaced via analysis and regular reporting
  • Evaluate Pre-and Post-Events through the OPSOprocess facilitated by the CD Analytics team
  • Fulfill project requests from the field asassigned by manager
  • Reconcile YTD and full year annual plans
  • Support BDM's challenge to customer/marketlevel spend and volume integrity to help ensure the field is following throughwith the proposed sales proposition
  • Assist BDM in maintaining and updatingcustomer accrual rates
  • Act as support and 1st point of contact forUFLP and Intern Team members
  • Maintain and enhance reporting and team SharePointsite to meet needs of Division and individual customer teams

What You'll Need To Succeed

You will require at least a Bachelor's Degree; concentration in Business,Marketing, or related area is preferred. 1.5 - 2 years related experience; Knowledge of customer, data, systemsand ability to analyze info and trends to make recommendations. You'll need a working knowledge of Merlin,Nielsen and Tableau. Your key skillsinclude the ability to tackle complex situations, evaluate alternative coursesof action, and provide fact based solutions/recommendations. The ability to manage multiple projects /processes at one time would be necessary and you can handle increasingly moreresponsibility as new platforms are launched. Strong communication, organizational, and analytic skills is amust. You need to Possess initiative anddrive to solve problems with limited direction and raise analyses beyondreporting.
