Background & Purpose of the Job

The Supply Planner role is responsible for creating and maintaining the mid-term production plan and managing the execution of the plan in order to support business needs for a significant subset of the BPC portfolio. An Supply Planner acts as a liaison between Demand Planning, Factory Planning, Manufacturing, & Procurement Operations. It is the responsibility of the Supply Planner to understand the business and to build a responsive network that can react to the volatility of the market while also managing inventory levels, non-finished Good material availability, and waste implications. As a lead on the Supply Planning Team, you will need to drive initiatives to meet team goals and ensure the continuous improvement of processes and outcome.

The role will also own the supply and execution of the production plan for a significant subset of the BPC portfolio, as well as, providing input for annual estimate financial OP volumes, updates for the internal operating plans and reporting necessary for scenario planning.

The position objective is to manage the inventory planning, production planning, and material planning with the goal of lowering SC cost an improving customer service. The key metrics are 1) Customer Service, 2) Finished Goods and RPW inventory management, & 3) Waste.

The Supply Planner is expected to be a team leader. They will lead by example and mentor newer members to the team. The Supply Planner will understand big picture ideas and work to incorporate company-wide goals and values into our Supply Chain. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing a number of responsibilities at once and can pivot between projects with ease.

You're a dot connector: With an innate sense of how things interlock, you will be able to bridge the needs of different functions and expertly translate the requirements to keep the value chain in sync

You're a teacher: As a senior member of the team, you will be looked upon as a go-to subject-matter expert, and will be required to train, coach, and upskill newer members to the team.

You're a changemaker: You will be at the forefront of creating a more Agile Supply Chain by pioneering Segmented Supply Chain Design in NA and adopting new methods and KPIs in order to create a more responsive BPC Network in North America.

You're a paradox navigator: You will need to optimize multiple competing KPIs (Cash, Service, & Cost).

What You'll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 3-5 years of Supply Chain related planning experience
  • A highly developed set of skills in quantification and analysis
  • Proficiency using Excel, Access, Powerpoint and MS Project
  • APICS Certification and/or Citizen Data Scientist Certification a Plus
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to deliver complex information to a variety of audiences with impact
  • Creative mindset with the ability to look at a problem with a number of different perspectives and ideas for a solution
