The site's rich history dates to 1937 and fosters a deep passion for delighting consumers through the Dove Brand. The purpose of this position is to oversee the development, implementation, and management of the site's Safety and Health systems to ensure regulatory compliance and to achieve continual improvement in safety performance.
Who You Are & What You'll Do
You will work as a trusted guide to plant management for safety related queries and act as a liaison for the corporate SHE team you will implement the learning's from Unilever sites across the globe at the Hammond site.
You will be a teacher to the team and enable them to perform their roles in compliance with the written regulatory programs for the site in operation 24x7.
As the coordination point for all safety incidents, you will facilitate and participate in safety investigations.
You will work closely with key members of the site management to analyze the safety statistics, identify trends and develop plans to transform the safety culture.
As the safety leader, you will facilitate improvements through partnership with the operations team and foster a peer to peer safety culture throughout the factory.
You will be the lead for safety management of new projects using tools such as risk assessment, risk prediction and non-routine task management.
Manage the regulatory inspections across site and help maintain compliance.
Manage the security of the site and lead improvements as necessary.
Manage mandatory and non-mandatory training at the site and help maintain the competence in all relevant guidelines.
Own incident reporting process and manage incident closure through partnership with relevant cross functional teams.
Collaborate and participate in ergonomic studies and help drive improvements across the site.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Your focus, leadership and collaborative nature will be a huge positive contributor to the success in this role.You adapt to change and communicate clearly and effectively across all tiers of organization.
You have experience in establishing and maintaining safety systems while harnessing a culture of continuous improvements in our safety practices.
BA/BSC degree in Occupational health sciences with 5 years of experience managing a safety program.
CSP or other relevant safety certifications.
Competency in Environmental regulations and managing a waste water treatment plan.
