Background & Purpose of the Job

Human Resources within Unilever delivers a wide range of programs and priorities designed to enable strong business performance. Our internal HR team is constantly interacting with different parts of the business to address business challenges and priorities in a flexible, nimble way. They work with business leaders to deliver their agenda, champion change and facilitate culture and climate interventions through a well-defined, but always evolving HR strategy. The ultimate goal is to improve capability, create capacity and accelerate Unilever's culture.

We are seeking an Senior Supply Chain HR Leader who has a passion for executing against the business agenda and turning strategy into action. This role will be based with the HR and Supply Chain Leadership teams in Englewood Cliffs, NJ but have strong interaction and travel to our 13 factories across North America.

What you will do:

In this role you will work on varying HR agile projects across corporate and factory supply chain including but not limited to:
  • Serving as an internal consultant/business liaison that can translate supply chain strategies and objectives into an HR agenda, initiatives and/or actions that help drive positive business performance across factories and corporate locations alike
  • Leading complex change and transformation programs in alignment with supply chain strategy
  • Collaborating with the business for the creation a high-performance culture by creating and implementing team and organizational design solutions, providing measurable performance indicators and improvement plans
  • Partnering with HR Leadership team to connect broader HR agenda to factory agenda driving alignment and prioritization across multiple stakeholders
  • Partnering Supply Chain Leadership Team on people strategy to deliver business value at the highest level
  • Deploying to factories to deliver strategic HR projects including engagement programs, organizational design, cultural transformation and development
  • Partnering site HR teams to lead community of practice, and leverage best practices and synergies across sites
  • Managing HR agile projects end to end, including coaching and leading other team members
  • Understanding organization diagnostic tools and leveraging them to move to action fast across different sites and populations
  • Using Leadership and Talent development tools to drive organization and team performance in alignment with World Class Manufacturing and People Development Pillar
  • Leading Organization Design & Change Management programs across supply chain
  • Leading People & Capability Development to ensure the supply chain is always fit to compete
  • Creating a positive winning Culture & improving Employee Engagement


What You'll Need To Succeed

  • BA/BS in Human Resources or related field
  • Proven track record of successfully working in a complex, matrix organization
  • 7-10 years of HR experience in a fast paced/agile setting
  • HR experience partnering a supply chain function, including in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the following areas
    • Change and Project management
    • Leadership and Talent development
    • Employee Relations
    • Organization Design
    • People Development
    • Employee Engagement
    • Strategy development and deployment across multi-site organizations
  • Familiarity with HR tools, systems & processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment law & compliance best practice
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with audiences of all levels
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Curious and innovative mindset to continually adapt to everchanging business needs
