Unilever Baking, Cooking and Spreading [BCS] is a stand-alone Business Unit within Unilever, in charge of bringing fantastic brands, such as Becel, Milda, Flora, Lätta & Crème Bonjour to the market.
Our BCS business is critical for Unilever to achieve our mission and double the size of our business as it represents a big part of our incremental growth. Unilever Nordics has a unique position in this case playing in many categories as well as cooperation with the business to business side.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
We are now looking for a driven and analytical Consumer & Market Insight Manager to drive primarily market share via enriching the Go-To-Market activities with consumer and market insights.
The role is responsible for the Nordic market’s researches, market data and trends, and as a strategic partner, with that information identifying key insights to give recommendations to drive the business.
You will be the sole Business Partner for Nordic BCS, reporting to a Manager based in Europe, and working closely with the Nordic General Manager & three Marketing Managers in enabling their Country strategies within all aspects of the Nordic market place.
This role represents an exceptional prospect for an independent Business Partner, who does not shy away from seizing opportunities to influence the category choices, with a strong passion for the business.
For the BCS Team, you will be a key person between the company and external partner agencies when it comes to briefing, managing market research/analysis and communicating a deeper understanding of consumers’ habits and behaviors. You should therefore have a passion for consumer behavior and trends.
In general, you will be part of and drive different projects – both planned and ad hoc. You will co-operate with many other units in the company, mainly with the Marketing and Sales units so being a team player is essential.
The role is based in our Nordic Head Office in Solna, Stockholm.
To lead category-specific consumer and market insight tasks for Nordic BCS, such as:
- Brand Audits
- Brand equity analysis
- Media insights & evaluation at a category/campaign level
- Product performance
- Shopper behaviour insights
THIS IS WHAT WE LOOK FOR
You have an analytical, result/business oriented and energetic personality. We are looking for someone with a great internal drive and who takes ownership for tasks, and can set their own goals. It´s also important to be able to work virtually cross countries.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU NEED/HAVE:
- University Degree in Economics or applicable
- 2-5 years of contested experience within consumer research, incl. qualitative research
- appreciation of interaction with market research agencies
- capability with managing Nielsen data
- proven understanding of business partnering at regional level
- sound business acumen, preferably from FMCG industry
- a passion for consumer behavior and trends
- to be a good team player and influencer
- strong communication and people skills
- fluent skills in English, both speaking and writing, and preferably also in Swedish
- preferably experience from globally owned companies
- a good solution oriented mindset and ability to work independently
