PositionSummary

Thisposition works independently to ensure timely, effective coverage ofmaintenance functions. The position is responsible for theoversight/supervision of Maintenance Technicians. The position provides technicalprocess/innovation/project implementation support throughout thefacility. The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of plantpersonnel, including the mechanically challenged, is of significant importancewithin this position. The ability to coordinate jobs and changes, complete andfollow up after finished. This position must be able to coach and mentor peopleto understand the details of the processes.

PrincipalAccountabilities

Scheduling, training, and supervision of MaintenanceTechnicians.

Communicate with manufacturing department regarding issues that need to beaddressed by the maintenance department.

Coordinate, with production and freezer/warehouse departments, changeovers andmoving of equipment to storage.

Work with CAD operator on design specification drawings for parts.

Work with vendors and contractors.

Coach/train Maintenance Technicians in preventative maintenance functions andtroubleshooting of machinery in order to reduce downtime and maximize efficiencies.

Develop and follow established standard operating procedures for safety,health, environment, and production.

WCM and 5s advancement across the facility.

Lead SmallCPEX Project to drive continuous improvements

Actively participate in the PM Pillar, and be the link between the PM and EEM Pillars.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical& PLC problems, making changes asneeded.

Supervise/manage/direct/ schedule all activities for Maintenance Technicians.

Coordinate Weekend/Shut-Down maintenance functions.

Other activities as assigned.

Working Environment

Variable, consisting of both the office environment and the manufacturingfloor. Potential hazards include proximity of moving machinery andammonia. The position may require an individual to stand, stoop, moveequipment, bend, reach, or lift for prolonged periods of time. PPEincludes safety glasses, hearing protection, sanitary footwear, and flameretardant uniform.

Knowledgeand Skill Requirements

BS degreein Engineering or related discipline.

AmmoniaRefrigeration and/or PSM

5-10 years’ related experience in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to work with and lead teams comprised of all personnel levels.

Ability to work a variety of shift schedules.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of plant personnel.
