Background & Purpose of the Job
A Specialist in Logistics Operations with a concentration in inventory, Business Waste, and Yard management will be responsible for establishing best practice across NA network and disseminating process to all sites; motivating and driving accountability to results across the North American network. As a logistics operations leader, this role encompasses both physical and systemic design. Through clean system signals and as a leader, this role is a critical enable to operational excellence across Logistics
This role will have a high level of visibility with senior leaders in the organization.
The purpose of the job will be to protect the Unilever P&L by process management and ownership and ensuring that best practices are followed in the network.

This position will be responsible for all inventory physical processes and systemic led inventory movements, logistics business waste, and Yard management operations . The key areas the job will focus are the following:
Strategy, Compliance, Best Practice and Training:
- Inventory movements and Enroute systemic execution and best practice
- UASCC Inventory audits and SOX Compliance
- Policy and procedure development and training.Including: Creating an inventory playbook for each platform JDA, EWM, SAP etc.
- Improve STO accuracy
- Increase LPN accuracy across network
- Drive and support "Certified plant" status across network
- Onboarding of acquired companies and manage business divesting
- Logistics Business Waste Lead. Reduce inventory churn to support $10B in sales.
Sustainability Operations:
- Disposal management and QBRs with disposal suppliers ($2.5MM Supplier Spend, $40MM COGS Disposed)
Quality Operations:
- VAS communication and management
- All reconciliations QA or process adherence
What You'll Need To Succeed
MBA or Master's Degree from reputable program with related work experience or: Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years in Industry - Logistics/Operations/Manufacturing or other related fields . Skills Specific Training SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point). Ability to communicate clearly at multiple levels. Must have strong ability to multi-task. Project Management, facilitation, and presentation skills are a must.
