Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands or UK (travelling to the Netherlands periodically)
Travel – frequent travel to other European offices required.
Net Revenue Management (NRM) is one of Unilever’s top 5 strategic priorities. NRM is a holistic approach to support our Category Growth agenda in a sustainable and profitable way. Unilever focuses on analysis and solutions across 5 levers:

. Channel, Pack, Price Architecture

. Trade Spend Translation
Building capability and implementing NRM based solutions is a critical enabler of growth of both top and bottom line in the business. You will lead the implementation and embedding of NRM in our Europe Cluster, as well as owning content and methodology development globally. You will be based in our Global Customer Development Hub in Rotterdam (or UK), leading a team of 4 Managers, with frequent travel to other European offices required.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBITIES BE?
AS THE EUROPEAN LEAD FOR NRM
Be the custodian and the Subject Matter expert for the cluster and embed long term capability:
. Ensure process deployment across all cells in Europe, and embedded into the key Unilever
. Drive alignment across stakeholders (Global Category Marketing/ Country Marketing/ Customer
Development/ Supply Chain / Finance)
. Ensure local Marketing, Customer Development, Finance teams understand how to run and own
NRM as part of the IBP process
. Own the NRM capability build agenda and roadmap for Europe, and work with Country leadership
teams to embed it, through training and the quality of the NRM team
. Tailor and advance the NRM practices to best address the local market requirements
Diagnose and identify new growth opportunities:
Lead and inspire local teams through core diagnostic analyses, discuss insights and opportunities identified:
. Ensure analyses performed in line with the Unilever playbook
. Pressure-test analytical approaches and operational & financial viability of results
. Identify quality and content gaps and suggest improvements
. Recommend additional analyses or alternative approaches where necessary
Lead development of an integrated NRM plan:
. Ensure identified initiatives fully cover the opportunity space identified through diagnostics analysis
and are congruent with each other
. Help synthesize initiatives across all levers into an integrated action plan
. Help ensure each initiative and the overall plan are supported by reliable financial impact
estimates (working with Finance)
. Ensure NRM initiatives are built into the category/ brand/ annual plans – reflected in MCO budgets
Track, monitor and guide implementation of the integrated NRM plan:
. Through automated tools, ensure NRM initiatives are tracked with solid operational metrics
. Integrate NRM performance management with the CCBTs, Finance and CD heads across key
countries and at the Cluster level.
. Institutionalize monthly performance reviews with key stakeholders, provide input on
implementation successes and issues, provide input on actions to course correct
AS A CORE MEMBER OF THE GLOBAL NRM TEAM
Lead the methodology and capability around Channel, Pack, Price Architecture development
. Keep abreast of leading NRM methodologies within and outside Unilever
. As the global subject matter expert on CPPA, lead the development of differentiated Channel-Pack
- Price architectures, integrated with the opportunities and actions identified across all the levers
of the Unilever NRM framework, and scale it up within the NRM strategies
. Implement the methodology for D / DE markets, establish successful pilots, embed the playbook
and the capability across the clusters and MCOs.
. Institutionalise key shopper insights frameworks / researches to enable strategic Pack-Price
. Global NRM leadership team & Centre of Excellence (COE) team members
. European and country leadership teams
. Finance, Marketing, Customer and CMI (Consumer & Marketing Insight) teams
. European Country NRM teams
. Reporting into the Global NRM VP

EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE
. Deep FMCG industry experience, ideally within a European operating environment
. Leading and developing NRM in the industry
. Hands on experience managing customers, commercial strategy development, promotion
investments and TTS management
. Proven project management skills
. Strong understanding of operating environment
. Strong cross cultural influencing and change management
