Category Operations Manager

  • ** Main Job Purpose:
  • Be responsible for the sales performance of group Categories or division
  • Be business partner with stakeholders in order to maximize channel benefit, smoothen operation and encourage compliance and excellent execution
  • Own the sales volume plan and responsible for target and the whole “selling – process IN-OUT”
  • Manage and control sales information and sales administrative team
  • Develop the processes, guidelines which support business efficiency and ensure proper implementation
  • ** Job Summary:

1. Business Forecast and Planning:

  • Centrally own Category, Channel, Customer Volume forecasts to ensure that the sum total of category, customer plans allow achievement of overall company objectives
  • DP output consolidation & analysis for S&OP with highlight on risk, opportunities with recommendation
  • Balance the ambition of strategy & the reality of delivery with strong conviction, logic based on fact & insight

2. Business communication:

  • Lead team to make sure quality of number categories, channel activities communication to the sales teams for excellent execution
  • Regular communicate with Field sales, Branch Office to track the implementation of integrated plans

3. Management of operational responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer service via minimizing OOS to make sure competitive advantage in the market but also make sure the right level of stock cover
  • Co-ordinate all supply chain issues to make sure right stock, right time, right channel
  • Balance between the process of discipline & flexibility in operation to make sure quickly responding to market demand without violating to company codes

4. Sales Target Achievement tracking:

  • Ensure that the achievement of the sales results is consistent and in line with the business requirements
  • Communicate & align sales target with sales field to ensure the sales plan is executed
  • Own Sales target delivered by excellent operation – timely tracking – analysis in different dimensions: category, channel, segment, regions
  • Facilitate teams to highlight issues for the business team to resolve any gaps in sales plan
  • Provide tracking and evaluation of all on-going activities

5. Produce category and Channel performance analysis with insight for action.

6. Business Systems and Operational Process:

  • Lead the internal sales to drive business excellence and deliver competitive advantage
  • ** Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • At least 5 years of working experience in sales for FMCG industry (experience in Sales planning, Demand Planning is an advantage)
  • Strong analytical skills and business mind-set
  • Excellent service mind-set
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skill
  • Strong communication and strategic influencing skills
  • Proactive, confident and able to work under high pressure
  • Good command of English communication and computer skills
