2019 Consumer Market Insights Internship - Seventh Generation
Based in Burlington, Vermont for more than 25 years we've been formulating plant-based products that are safe and that work. Background & Purpose of the Job
The Consumer Market Insights intern will play a pivotal role in how Seventh Generations acquires shopper data and creates actionable insights to further improve the brand proposition of our green products.
Who You Are and What You'll Do
In this internship you will have the opportunity to:
1. Develop a recommendation on incorporating measurement from existing and emerging digital data sources to complement or replace elements of ongoing survey based brand tracking including but not limited to:
- Volume and sentiment across social media platforms
- web search term volume,
- SVG owned site activity
- online product reviews
2. Upon learning about Seventh Generation, its mission and base of green shoppers. develop an understanding of what data sources Seventh Generation partners are already collecting through partnership and support from
- SVG search analyst
- SVG site owner
- SVG customer care
- SVG Email Marketing
3. Explore approaches and methods being utilized in and outside of Unilever to capture or analyze additional data sources and those metrics relationships to Seventh Generation brand health or sales. Partnering and leveraging support from:
- Trusted SVG Research Partner such as:
- FRC Research,
- Millward Brown
- along with Unilever People Data Center and People Relationship Management resources
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, statistics, economics, math, or another field and a passion for quantitative analysis
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Ability to relocate
- Must be proactive and self-driven and possess the ability to multi-task
- Strong PC skills in the following programs: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

This will give you insight into our company culture and how we do business. The interview is split into two parts - three short hypothetical questions followed by a business case. You can record and complete your video anytime, anywhere. All you need is a computer or mobile device with access to video recording (usually standard in most devices) and a stable internet connection.
- Discovery Center - Once the interview is complete, we'll invite our top matches to our offices in the Greater New York City or Toronto areas (depending on which job you applied for) for a truly immersive experience. You'll get to experience a number of exciting activities and projects along with your peers, meet our leaders, and receive personalized coaching and feedback. The exercises are designed around a real business case study, enabling us to tap into your potential while giving you further insight into what it's really like to work at Unilever.
