PS Canada Support Specialist

The PS Support Representative is responsible for providing Best in Class support for Ultimate's payroll tax filing customers who utilize our Canadian Payment Services product offering.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how to provide exceptional customer service and support to new and existing customers. This position requires prior experience with servicing tax filing customers and demands strong organizational skills. The candidate must have a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and must be comfortable working under pressure.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Canadian support representative is responsible for:

  • Monitor and prepare source remittances and statutory reports for customers using Ultimate Software's Canadian Payment Services.
  • Provide customer service and support to both internal and external customers.
  • Respond to customer phone calls and support cases within prescribed service level agreements.
  • The Support Representative will be required to onboard new customers performing end-to-end conversion for all new starts.
  • Responsible for the balancing of all daily work including wages, tax and funds collection and deposits.
  • Full year-end support including balancing, reconciling and reporting.

  • A minimum of 2 years payroll tax compliance experience

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • An understanding of Canadian privacy laws or the ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge
  • An understanding of Canadian employment insurance and payroll tax laws or the ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge
  • An understanding of Canadian Record of Employments (ROE) or the ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
