Pre-sales Technical Consultant

Ultimate Software is seeking a Technology Sales Consultant for the mid-market Technical Consulting sales team. This position is responsible for providing sales support to the Mid-market sales team through knowledge transfer, documentation of best practices, participation in organizational readiness and team meetings and assisting sales team members throughout the pre-sales cycle to secure new business for Ultimate Software.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line technical, product and process support for internal sales team members and external customers with a high degree of satisfaction and technical expertise
  • Complete technical sections of customer submitted requests for proposal
  • Assist in maintaining request for proposal question and response answer bank
  • Participate in prospect calls sharing information on Ultimate Software’s products and technology during the sales cycle
  • Assist in conceptual architectural design of integrated systems including customer on-premise and/or cloud-based solutions such as ERP, time & labor, planning/budgeting/forecasting, analytics, etc with the UltiPro suite of applications
  • Provide assistance to Solutions Experts in support of functional prospect demos
  • On-goingknowledge transfer, training, and support of team members
  • Drive process and product improvement
  • Acquire, maintain, and expand knowledge of all aspects of UltiPro products and services
  • Drive sales enablement

  • Proven communication skills
  • Strong presentation skill
  • Knowledge of software-as-a-service delivery models
  • Strong technical and analytic skills
  • UltiPro experience preferred
  • Cloud security certification or equivalent experience a plus
  • Experience selling to CTO/CIO role preferred
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Self-motivated, self-starter
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize own work
Education/Certification/License:BA/BS or relevant experience preferred

Travel Requirement:Some travel, up to 30%
