Part Time BOC Technician

Ultimate Software is seeking a Part Time Business Operations Technician to work in our Santa Ana office as part of our Business Operations Center. Ultimate Software's BOC provides world-class monitoring and front line problem analysis and remediation for payroll related files. Primary responsibilities of this role entail ongoing, proactive monitoring of business-critical payroll processes, remediating issues as detected. Additional responsibilities include validation of data import and export transmissions and interfacing with support personnel and product specialists. This position is demanding and plays an integral role in the success of our organization.

This position works no more than 29 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing monitoring of critical payroll business processes.
  • Validate, Remediate, Escalate failure conditions, or process failures to Support Contacts for immediate action.
  • Retrieve and record all business process confirmations.
  • Validate exceptions reports and notify appropriate Support team member if applicable.
  • Validate all expected data exports that have been created and delivered to intended destination.
  • Inform Support of any missing data exports so that they may be remediated and delivered to customer.
  • Interface with Support personnel on an as needed basis.
  • Run and distribute daily/nightly reports as needed.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Analytical role or Customer Support role
  • General PC competency
  • Experience working in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to an ever-changing, progressive environment
  • Positive team participation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Prior experience working in a monitoring center is a plus
  • Process and procedure driven
  • Must have strong skills in problem analysis

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • A+ Certification Exam

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS or related Business Technology degree preferred.
