Identity Product Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

  • Defines and researches business requirements, has frequent customer communication and collaboration with Domain Owners, Product Strategists and Business Analysts
  • Engage in market analyses to understand current and future trends, market segmentation and customer needs in Identity and Security
  • Create and manage product area roadmaps and coordinate with other product managers and strategists on dependencies
  • Maintain continued awareness of industry changes in software development and how it should impact our solution
  • Leads Alpha and Beta programs for functional areas including selecting customers, conducting regular feedback meetings, and acting as main point of contact for participants
  • Ensure internal and external business needs are identified, prioritized and communicated as part of release planning
  • Defines the content for all releasable products and milestones
  • Creates materials (presentations and demos) to help train additional teams on new capabilities
  • Engage and participate in the ideation process with our customer and internal communities
  • Engage in active review and revisions to product features and roadmaps throughout the release cycle to ensure that functionality meets requirements
  • Have a clear understanding and view of the competitive landscape

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • 5-7 years in a software development environment with a portfolio of products and platforms delivered to the market
  • Proven delivery expertise in Identity and Security platforms
  • Extensive functional knowledge and experience in supporting multiple Products and Domains
  • Proven leadership, analytical, decision-making, and team building skills
  • Effective communication skills; listening, written and verbal; ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • 3-5 years of product management experience
  • Specific knowledge of security and SSO concepts, Ping federation, RSO concept using new authorization standards ( JSON, JWT, JWT, OAuth, OpenID Connect experience and Cryptography: PKI / XML DSig / SSL / SSH); specific knowledge of security products on the market, such as OpenAM and OpenDJ.
  • Technical fluency in multiple architectural paradigms and ability to transition between technical and customer-oriented topics
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment to solve business problems
  • Think imaginatively and intuitively while quickly grasping and synthesizing new ideas
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills; listening, written and verbal; ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable presenting to all size audiences

Education/Certification/License:

  • Bachelors Degree

Travel Requirement: Up to 25% travel upon request
