HRMS Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst working on UltiPro customs for Ultimate Software, you will work with our external and internal customers to define, design, and test custom application solutions for new and existing customers. Projects will require specific product knowledge, requirements interpretation, and analytical design skills. We are looking for someone with a passion for creating great customs software.

This team operates in a high-energy and fast-paced environment and requires an individual that is self-motivated and can manage numerous and concurrent initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

  • Work with external and/or internal customers to review, analyze, and evaluate custom business requirements
  • Interpret user requirements
  • Elicit existing business processes and identify solutions that are efficient and provide customer value
  • Coordinate Requirements Gathering and Analysis sessions
  • Define software customization requirements to meet the needs of our clients
  • Implement change-control and escalate major scope changes to team members and clients as warranted
  • Testing of completed project against specification prior to project being delivered to client
  • Troubleshoot client problems with delivered custom applications in a timely and courteous manner
  • Provide User Acceptance Testing activities to ensure high-quality software deliverables
  • Provide regular project status and schedule updates to your manager and the project manager
  • Communicate information effectively to customers at various organizational levels
  • Negotiate priorities across project stakeholders
  • Participate in meetings with other team members and clients relating to application development projects
  • Provide input on methodology and process improvements

Requirements:

  • HR/Payroll experience is required
  • Knowledge of database concepts and Relational Database Systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication is required to communicate with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of business process, analysis, and specification writing
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage expectations of self and others
  • Ability to work alone or in a team environment
  • Prior consulting experience
  • Strong analysis, change control, task management and time management skills
  • Organized, self-motivated, hardworking, dedicated, with a strong sense of accountability
  • Positive, ‘can do’ attitude
  • UltiPro software experience is a plus
  • Agile/Kanban experience is a plus
