UKG is searching for a new Data Engineer to join the effort around data projects. Data Analysts, DBA and Data Engineers will be attached in product lines and work together to build new features while maintaining existing code. Data engineers are the keystone of UKG data strategy. They are the link between applications data and its usage for reporting purposes.
The position is open in Paris or can be full remote in France or Germany.
Our current stack is composed by:
Postgres Databases (Applications and Data Warehouse)
Python scripts as pipelines
We are moving to a public cloud environment leveraging Google Cloud Platform.
The successful candidate will be required to:
Be curious, adaptative and proactive
Be a problem solver
Have a taste for good practices (Tests, Code quality checks, Automation, CI, ...)
Fluent in English
Have great communication skills and know how to interact with all levels within the organization around the globe.
Your key missions will be:
Monitor, maintain and enhance our current pipelines and data warehouse
Participate in the new data infrastructure within GCP
Work closely with Data Analyst and Product owners to anticipate new data needs
Support teams to use the data warehouse.
Be familiar with Git
Experience in GNU/Linux environment
Python coding skills
Creative and Analytics Problem Solving
Nice to have:
Google cloud platform data suite knowledge
Experience with Docker and Ansible are a plus
