Systems Engineer - ATG Infrastructure

About the Role
As a Systems Engineer I, you'll be assisting with building new servers and infrastructure that support various teams at Uber's ATG in Pittsburgh and San Francisco. You'll be expected to work closely with application owners to implement and scale vendor provided systems to a diverse group of users, as well as necessary maintenance and upkeep of existing systems.

What You'll Need
- Experience in Virtualization:
- VMware ESXi 5.5/6.0/6.5
- Comfortable building and maintaining VM's utilizing vCenter/vSphere
- Previous experience administering Windows Servers:
- Basic Windows Troubleshooting
- Ability to work with App Owners to build and scale large Enterprise Applications
- Windows Server 2012 R2 / 2016
- Previous experience administering Linux Systems:
- Command line, bash
- Ubuntu 14.04/16.04
- Centos 6/7
- Package management (yum, apt)
Bonus Points If
- SAN Storage integration using iSCSI
- Basic Powershell Scripting Knowledge
- Server Hardware experience
About the Team
The ATG TS-Infra team is the primary server infrastructure and engineering team for the Hardware and Manufacturing Teams at Uber's Advanced Technologies Group. This team is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the server environments and infrastructure that supports designing, building and manufacturing our Autonomous Car Fleet. We also continuously develop automated monitoring for these systems to ensure the highest level of up-time to our user community, as well as other server based solutions that keep the ATG moving.
