About the Role
The Membership team is responsible for developing and reinventing the UberEats and Uber app to be a member-first experience from price to perks. We drive one of the strongest incremental programs at Uber and innovate/iterate fast! You will collaborate across teams, including UberEats, Rides, FinTech, etc.
What You Will Do
- Develop data-driven business insights and work with cross-functional customers to find opportunities and recommend prioritization of product, growth, and optimization initiatives.
- Design and analyze experiments, present results that provide actionable recommendations.
- Define how our teams measure success by developing Key Performance Indicators and other user/business metrics in close partnership with Product, Science, and Engineering
- Orient our teams around data-driven product development by driving the creation of logging, metrics, data visualization and diagnostic tools, and experimentation paradigms.

---- Basic Qualifications ----
- Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields.
- Minimum 4 years of industry experience as an Applied or Data Scientist or equivalent.
- Experience in experimental design and analysis, exploratory data analysis and statistical analysis.
- Experience with dashboard/data visualization toolings.
- Ability to use Python to work efficiently at scale with large data sets.
- Proficiency in SQL.
---- Preferred Qualifications ----
- Advanced analytics skills such as causal inference and non-standard A/B testing techniques.
- Basic knowledge of algorithm and model development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across disciplines such as product, engineering, operations, and marketing to drive system development end-to-end from ideation to productionization.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per year.
