Job Description

As a member of our team, you’ll have a direct impact on the customer experience for both riders and drivers. Our team is responsible for Uber’s core payment platform, which includes maintaining our systems in 300+ cities around the world and handling and storing thousands of payment transactions per second. Our global business is creating job opportunities for thousands of people, and our code enables it to do this with extreme efficiency.

The services we build in Uber’s Payments Team are highly scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant. Our engineers know the trade offs involved in building high scale architectures. Cross Team Communication:

Engineers on Uber Payments work closely with groups like Accounting, Finance and Mobile to address new challenges, work through requirements, and improve our operational efficiency. We also work closely with our Fraud team to identify bad actors in our payment systems and neutralize any threats. Supporting these other groups within Uber is a key part of scaling our business.
