Regional Operations Manager, Efficiency

Our mission is to deliver transportation for everyone, everywhere. To do this, we are looking for a Regional Operations Manager based in Mexico City to focus on Marketplace Efficiency in LatAm, to help us ensure that our cities are well-balanced and well-functioning. You will work closely with internal stakeholders by analyzing, reporting and leading projects, processes, and experiments.

Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Efficiency. Identify where and when we see the most demand to help our partners make more while providing the best possible experience to riders on the platform
  • Analytics. Heavy analysis of our marketplace, rider, and partner behavior to identify and help partners solve problems related to driving at the right time and place to maximize demand and supply
  • Strategy. Decide which projects and areas of the efficiency puzzle the team should focus on and set an aggressive timeline to reach those goals
  • Product Improvement. Proactively search for new features which could improve the efficiency of our cities
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis. Evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of programs and work with management to execute those strategies as efficiently as possible
  • Hustle. Take ownership of Uber’s growth in the region and do whatever it takes to get the job done

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Data driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking and experimentation
  • Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
  • Startup (all-hands-on-deck) “I bust my ass because I love it” approach
  • A willingness to be “in the trenches” working with our driver-partners
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance or similar field
  • SQL knowledge a plus, but not required
