About the Role
We are seeking a Program Manager to join our Mobility Product Legal Team at Uber. This team plays a crucial role in providing centralized legal support for product development, ensuring that new Mobility-focused features and innovations are launched responsibly and in compliance with legal standards.
As a Program Manager, you will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to help facilitate legal reviews and support the successful rollout of new products and features globally. You will also help build scalable systems and processes to manage legal support in a fast-paced environment. In addition, you will collaborate with the Mobility Product Counsel to ensure proper oversight of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven innovations. This position is based in either Uber's Washington, D.C. or San Francisco, CA office, reporting to the Senior Director, Head of Mobility & Marketplace Product Legal in Washington, D.C.
What You'll Do
- Work with highly collaborative teams, taking the lead on project management processes, including working to scale existing processes for the review of new products. This role will primarily support the Mobility product legal team, which focuses on consumer-facing and earner-facing product launches for Uber mobility platform.
- Establish legal tools, playbooks and policies. Help build and update standards and practices for legal review and approvals.
- Serve as a front-line reviewer, working under the supervision of an attorney, to evaluate and provide feedback to business stakeholders on product and operations proposals, including AI-focused proposals.
- Coordinate key aspects of new product review administration, including basic review, cross functional stakeholder input, running approval and escalation processes, distribution and archiving, and advancing critical issues.
- Identify gaps in processes and build scalable solutions to support an ever-growing business team.
- Coordinate key aspects of contract administration, including basic review, drafting, running approval and signature processes, and distribution and archiving.
Basic Qualification
- At least 4+ years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house environment, with experience working with organizations to build internal business processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Savvy. Highly proficient with Google Suite and Gen AI tools including Chat GPT.
- Familiarity with project management systems including JIRA and Salesforce is a plus.
- Be a good communicator. You know how to communicate clearly whether writing or speaking.
- Motivated. You understand the impact of a highly-satisfied team and you enjoy deep-diving on matters and solving problems.
- A utility player. You're willing to help out wherever needed.
- Diligent and self-motivated. You have outstanding interpersonal skills, high integrity and you follow-through on tasks.
- Experience with contract / information management systems is a plus.
- B.A./B.S. preferred.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$101,000 per year - USD$112,500 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$101,000 per year - USD$112,500 per year.
