Marketing Finance Manager, APACx

Uber Overview

We’re looking for an experienced manager to build and manage the Marketing Finance function as part of Uber’s new Growth Marketing team across Asia Pacific (minus China and India). You will put financial rigour and data behind decisionmaking, allocating resources effectively across the value chain and providing transparency across marketing investment decisions and returns. This role bring a unique chance for the right individual to deliver insight and strategic thinking in a fastgrowth business by putting their personal mark on creating analysis and forecasting models on an international scale.

The successful Marketing Finance Manager will operate flexibly at all levels. The role will suit a passionate candidate who can see the big picture yet loves digging into the detail for effective problem-solving, while comfortably proposing action courses to senior management and obtaining field teams’ buyin on new operating models. We need someone who is excited about the opportunity of building solutions from scratch and relishes working in a highenergy, fastchanging, often ambiguous and always

crossfunctional environment.

Job Description

What you’ll do

● Support regional Marketing and Operations leadership on planning, evaluating and reporting on marketing investments and campaigns efficiency

● Develop and take ownership of financial modelling, tracking and reporting to support and

challenge regional and local Marketing in key decision making ● Provide evaluation, insight & advice to improve the growth performance and profitability of Uber

products ● Challenge ROI and work with the team to find optimum levels for efficient use of resources ● Develop new tools in order to drive scalable analysis and insight. ● Scope and lead individual analytical projects ● Work in close partnership with crossfunctional teams from across the region and consult on

support for the wide range of activities that acquire, delight and retain our partner drivers and

riders ● Take on an active bridging role in increasing data focus and financial awareness within Marketing

teams across the region

What you’ll need

● Significant experience in financial planning, financial modelling, LTV, channel performance and

cohort analysis is a must ● Digital and offline marketing analysis experience ● Excellent strategic insight, strong business planning & commercial acumen ● Proven analytical, decisionmaking, communication and project management skills ● Track record of leading high performing working groups or formal teams and influencing a diverse

range of stakeholders at senior level ● Ability to selfstart and selfdirect work in an unstructured environment, and comfortable

dealing with ambiguity. ● Fast learner with a “get it done” attitude.
