About the Team:

Uber's People and Organization Development (POD) team is focused on accelerating Uber's business by enhancing employee experience around growth and development across their life cycle at Uber. The POD team is responsible for building and implementing key People and Organizational Development processes - Performance, Culture & Engagement, Change Management, Talent Management, People Development programs, and Onboarding.

About the Role

In this role, you will be part of the Individual and Teams Enablement pillar, within the People Development (PD) team. This role focuses on supporting Uber's overall approach to development through the design, delivery, and measurement of learning and development experiences for individual contributors and teams.

What You'll Do:
• Lead the strategic direction of Uber's Individual Contributor and Team development work while also leaning into the details of each program and experience. You will need to wear both strategy and execution hats simultaneously
• Partner with HR Leadership and the business to diagnose learning and development needs across our non-manager and team populations
• Craft innovative solutions that build the capabilities within areas such as Uber-wide Career Development, Mentorship, Aspiring Managers and Teams
• Lead the strategy for our usage of online, self-paced learning platforms such as Degreed and LinkedIn learning
• Continuously mentor, develop and grow the team. Set a high bar for the team to think ambitiously and creatively then funnel that energy into concrete processes and execution plans
• Manage diverse sets of partners across the company's People teams to understand needs, and get work done quickly and in a way that is relevant to the business
• Cultivate a deep understanding of Uber's learner experience and how it impacts business priorities and objectives
• Use all existing data and user-centric information to advise the direction and content of your strategy
• Discover innovative and scalable ways to grow our leaders while incorporating current research and industry best practices
• Iterate and improve existing programs using data and business feedback to drive impact and efficiency

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience in L&D for adult professionals
• 7+ years of L&D experience
• Master's degree in adult learning, organizational development, organizational behavior, industrial-organizational psychology, or human resources
• Develop strategies and foster a cohesive and creative work environment. Lead initiatives with teams around the world, set challenging targets, implement guidelines and monitor progress.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and growing into new areas of responsibility, with self-starter qualities
• Strong planning & project management skills centralized around human-centered design work, stakeholder management, eye for business and partnership
• Possess excellent business judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience designing and leading development programs both live and virtual
• Experience with identifying, managing, and influencing partners
• Critical and creative thinking
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $99,000 per year - $110,500 per year.For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $99,000 per year - $110,500 per year.For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $88,000 per year - $98,000 per year.For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $99,000 per year - $110,500 per year.For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
