Job Description

We are inspired by developing an extensive mapping and logistics infrastructure that can scale to our explosive growth and address the international opportunities we face. We are working on services that cover areas like routing, navigation, adaptable pricing, supply positioning, location search, and real time traffic patterns. We are also developing the data pipelines that drive these services by extracting signals from vast amounts of sensor data. You will have the opportunity to affect traffic in major cities.

We are looking for an engineer who is excited to make an impact and has the skills to match. If you join our team, you will be working on some of the most interesting and challenging problems with a world class team that values growth and camaraderie.

What you’ll need

Architecture skills. You should have thoughts on constructing highly scalable software systems and good knowledge of the principles of fault-tolerance, reliability and durability.Experience designing and deploying high performance production services with extensive monitoring and logging practices.Capacity to evaluate tradeoffs between correctness, robustness, performance, space, and time.Ability to create and interact with very large data processing pipelines, distributed data stores, and distributed file systems.Bonus points if you have built geospatial services and datasets before, such as maps data, routing algorithms, traffic patterns, etc.Excellent programming and algorithmic skills (we mainly use Java & Python).
