The Community Success organization is responsible for building the products that allow Twitch users to discover, communicate and keep in touch with over 100M Twitch users and broadcasters.  We're focused on building features that keep users coming back to Twitch such as chat, whispers, feeds, and notifications, as well as game directories, communities, and other features to help Twitch broadcasters get discovered.We're looking for engineers that want to help the Twitch community.  In this organization, you'll work alongside product, data science, and design to craft scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems and seamless front-end user experiences.  If you want to help build the future of gaming-related discovery and interaction, you should join us!


  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, high-performance systems
  • Embrace and champion engineering best practices
  • Produce clean, high quality code and technical documentation
  • Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews with peers and partners
  • Give and receive technical feedback from your peers


  • A bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, or a related technical discipline
  • Familiarity with service-oriented or microservice architecture
  • Full-stack interest and strong command of at least one modern programming language
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and data structures
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Experience in consumer web products at scale
  • Experience building systems with AWS
  • Experience writing Go in production systems
