Senior Quality Engineer - Core Payments

Core Payments team owns product/systems that affect millions of users and broadcasters.  Our platforms enable automated onboarding as well as payments processing so its role is essential for the company.   The teams are directly responsible in ensuring high quality world class payments experiences for our users.  As a Senior Software Engineer in Test for Core Payments team, you will be working closely with development and various other cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality for our projects. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, iterate and own testing-related documentation including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports assessing quality and associated risks for all functionality
  • Execute tests  for new features, along with the stability and performance of our platforms
  • Keep all stakeholders informed regarding testing results, execution status and potential risks
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to establish technical vision for test frameworks and automation for Core Payments team
  • Design and build advanced automated testing frameworks
  • Design & build tooling and infrastructures to help engineering teams measure and increase their velocity
  • Continuously improve, augment, and update automated test suites within an Agile development lifecycle
  • Increase adoption of best practices in code health, testing and maintainability
  • Mentor and cultivate junior engineers

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or prior relevant engineering experiences
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the development/testing of high-performance, highly available and scalable distributed systems
  • Excellent understanding of black box/white box testing
  • Practical experiences using source code control systems, especially Git
  • Extensive experience with QA processes
  • Familiar with at least one test framework
  • Proficient experience level in one or more of the following language: Go, Ruby, Java, C/C++

Bonus Points

  • Familiar with AWS ecosystem
  • Previous experience in payments domain
  • Twitch user, broadcaster, or partner or experience in the gaming industry
