Test Engineer - Billing Platform


You are a strong engineer who is a firm believer of automation in testing. You believe in creating right set of tools that will enable developers to create solid test coverage for their code. You have been working with automation framework for some time and has been modifying them to fit development lifecycle. You are able to communicate effectively with developers, business stakeholders and leadership alike, to close the gap in automation and improve overall system quality. You are able to produce high quality Scala/Java/Python code for the framework/tools in a fast-paced environment. You are a combination of Creativity and Pragmatism; that can help us choose between buy or build. You have worked in mission critical systems powered by traditional RDBMS systems as well as NoSQL. Bachelor's degree in a computer science related field is a minimum requirement.



You will be creating tools/framework for developers to use to generate their test cases. Your extra credit assignment will be to set-up right environment to promote Test Driven Development. You will also be interacting with Tech Leads and Engineers in different areas to support, specific needs of their particular set of microservices and how they fit into overall Billing Platform. You will be supporting mission critical systems like Payment Processing and also high scale systems processing millions of records. You will also be developing automation tests that span multiple systems to make sure they adhere to agreed upon contract between services.



Billing Platform is responsible for charging our customers right amount for the Twilio services they have utilized on timely manner and account for that money. Quality, in terms of accuracy, availability and scale, is critical provided we are working with company’s revenue and customers funds. You will play important part in setting high bar for Quality, that removes customer’s pain due to billing errors or un-availability of critical systems. You will get an opportunity to experience and support mission critical, high availability system operating at a scale while changing at rapid pace.
