Twilio is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for building systems and tools to help us increase the development velocity and quality of software produced at Twilio. You will design, build, evolve and operate tools, frameworks and infrastructure to increase the productivity of developers. Our solutions codify software evolution best practices and minimize cognitive load for developers. You bring experience with scalable and industry leading practices and tools to enable continuous integration and delivery for organizations. Even better, you have expertise with build frameworks, artifacts management systems and containerized development environments, and you have transitioned a fast moving engineering organizations from release nightmares laden with manual steps and gates to fully automated release bliss!

What?

A great day for you would be working alongside a small but collaborative team building APIs, web interfaces and command line tooling to maximize the throughput of Twilio’s product engineers. In doing so, pushing tooling and infrastructure code that streamlines and eliminates mundane activities of hundreds of software developers and provide insights into the organization’s efficiencies and bottlenecks. At the same time, you will be helping more junior developers by mentoring them, providing guidance, and positively influencing their careers.

The Productivity team develops and operates the company’s infrastructure for source code management, build, artifact management, test and workflow automation infrastructure. We also provide insights into an engineering team’s ability to deliver software changes quickly and with confidence.

Where?

This position will be located in either of our beautiful offices at 375 Beale Street in San Francisco or 399 W.
