Twilio is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to design, develop and deploy machine learning systems at scale to power Twilio’s Super Network. In this role as a part of the Super Network Health team, you will be building the next-generation platform for detecting performance issues in Twilio’s carrier network. The Super Network Health team is responsible for the resiliency of Super Network carrier connections. You will make key technical decisions and modeling choices and as well as writing amazing code.
Twilio is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with the following experience:
- Data streaming and analytics technologies like Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, Flink, KSQL, Elasticsearch.
- Passionate about working with data at scale. You love to learn and constantly investigate new techniques and methodologies.
- You’ll be getting your hands dirty with data, so you should have extensive Unix skills and data mining skills. You’ve written a MapReduce job, queried MySQL, worked with Spark or extracted data from S3.
- Enthusiasm for working in a high profile, fast-paced startup culture. We ship products on a daily basis, with tight schedules, small teams, and a very large user base.
- Passionate. Persistent. Creative. You have the ability to drive towards actionable results. You find clever ways around problems or just plow through them. When you don’t know it, you figure it out. You are a self-starter and you get things done -- you are a DOer.
- Masters in quantitative field or relevant industry experience.
- Interested in machine learning.
- Experienced in building cloud-based solutions.
- Familiar with time-series databases.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working alongside a collaborative team of engineers and data scientists building Twilio's next-generation products. In doing so, you will create, own and operate data pipelines, as well as the REST APIs, microservices and machine learning algorithms. As we develop and grow, you will mentor junior engineers and be a part of the interview team on new positions.
