Senior Lead Data Engineer - BI
Will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of data assets across multiple business teams for both tactical and strategic initiatives. Will work closely with other members of the Business Intelligence team to ensure the solutions that are developed and implemented are tightly aligned to enterprise business standards and principles. Will act as a subject matter expert for the data architecture, frameworks, tools/technologies suite, and infrastructure needed to deliver timely, relevant, and actionable business analytics. Will determine the desired architecture from data source to integration, distribution, and analysis for all Twilio business data domains Marketing, Finance, Sales, Support, etc. and deploy the necessary architecture and infrastructure to facilitate master data management, metadata management, data quality management, data integration, data distribution, and data analytics across the company. Will work with Data Platform/back-end peers to define the data collection/pipeline needs for current and future data analytics and data science work and collaborate with relevant business and functional heads to ensure alignment of data services with tactical and strategic goals. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree in Information Technology, or related plus 2 years’ experience as a Software Engineer or related or a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related plus 5 years’ experience as a Software Engineer or related. Also requires 2 years of experience with Python, Unix Shell Scripting, with Relational database technologies like Oracle, MySQL etc., working in cloud based environment like AWS, working with data warehouse technologies like AWS Redshift, Netezza etc., data modeling with star, snowflake schemas for data warehouse and building ETL pipelines using Hadoop technologies like Pig, Hive etc. Any suitable combination of experience of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
