The Senior Manager - Managed Security Services is responsible for:

  • Leadership of distributed team of Senior Engineers, Engineers, and Analysts spanning multiple Trustwave AOSC locations
  • Delivery of managed detection and response services for endpoint and network technologies within contractual SLAs
  • Enterprise security solution management, intrusion analysis, incident containment, and response
  • Collaboration within a matrixed organization to ensure timely, consistent, and high quality 24x7x365 service delivery
  • Developing operational schedules and coordinating coverage worldwide
  • Forecasting operational capacity and building annual operating plan to keep up with the growth of the MSS business
  • Team skills development, quality assessments, and implementation of continuous improvement measures that scale worldwide
  • Project leadership in the areas of intrusion detection, response automation, and correlation
  • Process development that supports customer objectives and scales Trustwave services beyond a region
  • Delivery and enablement support to sales organization to drive customer retention, growth, and positioning Trustwave MSS in the market
  • An outstanding customer experience that sets Trustwave apart from its competitors
  • Providing guidance to direct reports, typically comprising first-line managers and supervisors
  • Ensuring clarity around priorities and goals for the entire functional area
  • Approving requests for investment to a certain level of authority
  • Managing overall financial budgeting for her function
  • Approving hiring and firing requests within her group   
  • Guiding the talent identification and development processes for a group or function
  • Working across functions with peers in other groups to ensure collaboration for shared goals 
  • Interacting with upper management for reporting
  • Working with upper management and other peers for strategy development and execution planning 
  • Communicating financial and goal results and key performance indicators to direct reports 
  • Facilitating goal-level creation for the broader function and working with managers to ensure the goals cascade to all workers 

 Qualifications, Experiences, and Knowledge Required:

  • +10 years of strategic and operational security experience gained within enterprise and managed security services environment or through professional services delivery
  • +10 years of experience with enterprise security solutions including SIEM, asset management, vulnerability management, IT forensics, SOAR, application security, endpoint security, network security, IAM security, hierarchal architectures, and compliance
  • +5 years of direct or matrixed team leadership with a strong track record of getting things done while maintaining a strong team culture and high staff retention
  • Extensive understanding of current and historical threat landscape and familiarity with the detection and containment of cyber security threats and emerging research in intrusion detection techniques
  • Solid understanding of the competitive landscape in the managed security business
  • Previous experience in leading high performances teams delivering complex managed solutions
  • Ability to recognize and analyze the customer’s security needs and an ability to provide guidance towards effective security solutions
  • High levels of security and business acumen in relation to clients’ needs and business outcomes
  • Skilled in matrix management & virtual teaming with a strong ability to motivate staff & collaborate with other members of the management team.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, business and technical, as well as effective presentation skills demonstrated through industry conference presentations or published papers
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and ability to apply them in an operational context
  • Exceptional leadership & people management skills
  • Strategic management, leadership, mentoring, business, accounting and reporting capabilities
