About the Role:
Trustwave is seeking highly motivated, talented individuals for an Accountant position in Warsaw, Poland.  If you are seeking an exciting and rewarding opportunity in the accounting profession with a growing technology company, Trustwave offers career advancement and a competitive compensation package with an excellent health and medical benefit package.  The position reports to an Accounting Manager and will mainly focus on accounting for the US and EMEA regions.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the monthly close process, including working with key stakeholders to gather the necessary information, the creation of journal entries, performing financial analysis to ensure accuracy, applying consistent accounting policies, and developing, reporting, and communicating financial close results.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations in a clear and concise manner for review purpose along with resolving any unreconciled differences in a timely manner.
  • Work close with other finance team members such as the Financial Planning and Analysis team (FP&A) for reporting of variances to budget and/or forecast.
  • Additional activities may include consolidation of results and working with foreign currency translations.
  • Assists with the coordination of the company’s audits including the annual external audit.
  • Assists in ensuring the development and maintenance of effective internal controls and processes to assure safeguarding of assets and reliability of financial statements.
  • Play a key role in all financial system enhancements, upgrades, and improvements (including NetSuite and other internal systems).
  • Assist FP&A team in budgeting and forecasting for accounting related items.
  • Maintains key external relationships including external auditors, financial institutions, and other institutions that are relevant to the financial operations of the organization.
  • Works on special projects as needed.


Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience with a strong background in public accounting preferred.
  • Degree in Accounting. ACCA/CIMA would be an asset
  • International experience with GAAP and IFRS, including consolidation and foreign currency accounting highly preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with experience researching, writing, presenting and applying GAAP/IFRS guidance.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule for better alignment with US and EMEA regions a plus.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a cross-functional environment.
  • Deep knowledge of internal controls (i.e. Sarbanes Oxley) and best practices processes.
  • Financial system implementation experience and knowledge of business processes is very helpful.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, including previous exposure to senior management and the ability to present information accordingly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Continuous improvement attitude.
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college or university degree is a plus.
