This role is instrumental in leading and managing the delivery of Viator translation and localization requirements into 10+ languages.

You will report to the Localization Group Program Manager and will be part of the TripAdvisor Product team.

In this role, you will oversee all Viator localization requirements and lead initiatives that  deliver a great user experience on non-English points of sale.

What you’ll do:    

  • Manage the delivery of Viator localization requirements
  • Identify technology/process/tool improvements and efficiency opportunities and drive implementation with the relevant Viator and/or TripAdvisor teams
  • Implement and manager Viator’s language quality strategy
  • Manage TripAdvisor Language Leads for testing and language asset maintenance
  • Collaborate with other teams across the Attractions pillar to align business goals and strategy with localization requirements
  • Drive awareness of localization best practices across the wider business
  • Manage a Localization Coordinator as a direct report, including performance reviews, objective prioritization and workload monitoring
  • Be the Viator Localization expert and lead point of contact

 

What we seek:

  • Localization experience in the online space
  • Excellent understanding of the language translation process
  • Knowledge of localization industry tools and standards
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and delivering complex localization projects for multiple teams
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage conflict
  • Takes initiative, shows a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal, skills, at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from across the TripAdvisor business as well as from external suppliers
  • Quality and detail focused

  • Fluency in one or more non-English languages and familiarity with multiple languages is a strong advantage
  • Passion for travel
  • Position is based in our London office
  • Occasional travel to Viator San Francisco office or TA Boston headquarters may be required
