Content Specialist (Italian)

TripAdvisor is looking for a self-motivated Content Specialist to help us ensure high quality content on our Italian site. This role focuses on user-generated-content processes. We want to work with great people who can follow directions while working independently and who are able to keep up with our fast-paced environment. You'll use language, analytical and organizational skills to support content integrity processes.


What You'll Do:

  • Monitor user-generated content in Italian
  • Oversee and assist moderators with escalations
  • Help moderators maintain quality and speed of processing
  • Provide mentoring and feedback to moderators and trainings when needed
  • Respond to user inquiries about fraud/content integrity
  • Identify online trends and collaborate with team to improve user experience and content management toolset
  • Assisting with identifying bugs or areas of improvement related to technology
  • Researching and implementing projects aimed at fixing bugs or areas of improvement
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and escalate bug reports to engineering team
  • Track and report on content metrics on a regular basis
  • Utilizing data analysis to support project ideas and automation
  • Assisting with training and mentorship of new team members
  • Develop and maintain training documentation that supports consistent review moderation globally
  • Additional responsibilities will be assigned as necessary


Job requirements:

  • Native-level fluency of Italian language
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Strong analytical skills: understands and utilizes metrics relevant to role
  • Excellent time management/prioritization skills and multi-tasking ability
  • Experience with using web-based tools and databases
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to resolve user issues independently and to recognize issues that need to be escalated
  • Strong communication skills and ability to easily collaborate across a global team


Ideal candidate additional skills:

  • Experience with building and running SQL queries
  • Good editorial judgment
  • Additional language knowledge (especially German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian)
  • Flexible and open to change and new information; adapts behavior and work methods accordingly
