Region Account Director- Northeast Region

The  Region Account Director for the Northeast  territory is accountable for working with the hospital and health care systems to identify key personnel in the organizations who have responsibility for decision-making or have influence in strategic supply chain management. This position is accountable for the account management, growth, and stability of company clients.  This position is also accountable for building and maintaining multi-level relationships with key stakeholders and to promote and sell products and services.

This position does not have supervisory responsibility. This position deals with key company business processes that are unique and confidential. Due to the nature of this position, a non-compete agreement is required.

This position works from a remote, home office within the Northeast territory. This position must be willing and able to travel up to 75%.

You'd be having fun doing this and more throughout the week:

  • Signing a volume of business with new clients
  • Obtaining commitments and / or signed sales contract from the prospect to advance
  • Developing, executing, and maintaining a region territory plan in order to grow company revenue
  • Establishing productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Acting as a liaison between the sales team and the National Account Representative
  • Growing the business base with existing clients in-line with annual sales growth targets and goals
  • Adeptly managing customer expectations and requirements
  • Maintaining an ongoing proposal pipeline of revenue activity that meets or exceeds stated company objectives
  • Developing and tracking a sales pipeline status and pipeline value
  • Maintaining regular in person contact with prospects
  • Positioning entire portfolio to prospects
  • Selling other business lines to new clients
  • Proactively assessing, clarifying, and validating customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Working directly with representative(s) that are actively working in the field for assigned National Account (GPO)
  • Participating in training as required by the company
  • Overseeing the implementation process to ensure flawless execution

You also need these qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in successful client account management and / or selling solutions and services
  • Experience in region account planning and execution required
  • Must have experience interfacing with clients, vendors, and customer organizations at all levels including "C" Suite
  • A proven track-record in building strong business relationships having an established record of successful sales results required
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience working with hospital and health system management, procurement, Group Purchasing Organizations, hospital suppliers, contracting and materials management preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
