This position reports to and sits in Cambridge, MA. No remote option is available. We have a hybrid schedule. Local candidates only.

Who we are looking for:

We have an immediate need for an Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join our growing finance team.

This position requires a well-rounded individual who has demonstrated the ability to deliver results in a high-growth, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. We are looking for a highly motivated team player who brings a strong work ethic and accounting skills.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:
  • Process all vendor invoices, monthly credit card statements and employee expense reports
  • Prepare weekly payment run proposals (EFT and ACH)
  • Monitor invoices and payments due and ensure payment in a timely manner
  • Track and monitor recurring EFT and ACH payments for timely processing
  • Prepare weekly payroll payments for hourly employees and interns
  • Maintain control over all AP Module and all Accounts Payable files
  • Review and reconcile monthly AP aging including analysis on aged balances
  • Review and reconcile all bank accounts on a monthly basis
  • Maintain vendor records and W-9's and generate annual 1099 reporting
  • Respond to inquiries from A/P vendors and staff

Accounts Receivable:
  • Perform invoice billing and associated sales reporting
  • Manage collection process
  • Resolve invoice disputes and other billing inquiries from customers
  • General Accounting and Administrative:
  • Assist with account analysis, research, and reconciliations as needed.
  • Assist with month end and year end close process
  • Assist with annual audits as needed
  • Liaise as needed between departments

We're looking for:
  • Experience in an Accounts Payable or related accounting role
  • Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A team player who excels at building relationships across the organization while adhering to tight deadlines with a positive demeanor
