Responsibilities
This reporter should be a speed demon who posts news immediately and then hits the streets to find the story behind a police report. The fast-paced job requires the ability to wrestle with police over records, develop sources, cajole reluctant witnesses, and juggle multiple stories in a region where bizarre crime, or justice, is routine. This reporter is likely to follow a crime from the street to the courtroom and beyond, and we are looking for somebody who doesn't get caught up in cop or court jargon - we want somebody who can weave a tale out of even the most mundane of crimes. We are looking for a reporter who can think beyond the traditional cop/court routine and analyzes justice in its myriad forms

Qualifications
We will consider applicants only if they have proven their ability to craft a story, not just recite facts. Sensitivity to digital presentation, visuals, SEO and headlines also is essential.
