Our parent company, Tribune Publishing is a leading multi-media company in Chicago, IL

We are seeking a digital savvy salesperson to join out team to sell digital and print solutions. You will educate the businesses in our community on how to increase their revenue with our portfolio of digital media products. Must be a self starter, team oriented, and driven individual.

We work with clients to understand their strategic goals in order to help find unique and innovative ways to reach their customers. Our team helps clients develop and launch multi-platform advertising campaigns aimed at our extensive digital audience.

In addition to growing and maintaining an existing book of business you will prospect new business opportunities and develop relationships with small and medium sized businesses.

We ask that you are team oriented and driven, skilled at lead generation and cold calling.

Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities include:

Maximizing revenue through consultative sales approach with ability to represent solutions across the array of Tribune Publishing's digital solutions.

Foster and develop professional relationships within the community and client organizations by attending community, chamber, industry and client functions.

Identify customer needs through pre call planning, utilization of marketing resources, competitive analysis, and customer feedback, in order to connect meaningful media solutions.

Utilize an extensive understanding of account base and related industries to help identify trends and patterns within specific verticals.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, and reviewing professional publications. Required to attend internal training and skill development workshops.

Utilize support roles and resources in order to maximize sales time.

Qualifications

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business (Marketing, Communications, Journalism or Advertising concentration preferred) and preferred three plus years equivalent sales experience

High digital sales acumen and media industry knowledge

Working knowledge and experience utilizing a CRM and Microsoft Office products to manage daily activities

Ability to excel in a highly competitive environment and adaptability to a rapidly evolving media landscape

Effective relationship-building skills

Demonstrated success in meeting revenue goals

Excellent analytical, written, oral, communication, written and presentation skills
