Technical Writer

What We'll Bring:
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills in the design and creation of technical and product-related content with software and API documentation experience, strong technical writing skills, and the ability to grasp complex technologies and tools and communicate them clearly and concisely to varied audiences. This individual will own the design and development of complex product documentation, and develop copy for data sheets and other product related material aimed at customers, Solution Architects, Onboarding Engineers & Product Specialists.
In addition to re-designing, writing, and editing existing content, this person will work closely with the product, engineering and marketing teams to design and develop documentation and other product for all newly developed product features
What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, related field or relevant experience with ideally 3+years of experience
  • Excellent grammar, attention to detail and the ability to set tone and context in a technical document suitable for both a technical and non-technical audience
  • Experience managing content and production for technically oriented products
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with software products and software documentation including experience documenting API and cloud based solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign
  • Experience with knowledge-based platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk and Confluence
  • Familiarity with Agile Framework and previous work with software development teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • Ability to translate complex and technical topics into easy-to-understand operational documentation

Impact You'll Make:

Impact you will make:
  • Partner with Operations, Product, Development Engineering and Data Analytics to create, develop, manage and maintain content for all IDVision fraud and identity solutions, team processes, documentation and presentations
  • Evaluate current content for gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Establish and maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all documentation and material per the guidance of the TransUnion product marketing team
  • Work with a cross-departmental team, maintain and develop the master customer success content calendar
  • Keep current with emerging communication technologies including online/web and video
  • Work cooperatively with key team members, clients and vendors
  • Create digestible and predictable templates for other departments to follow


We'd Love To See:
  • Experience with design and presentation of content
  • Samples of previous content
  • Experience with video & e-learning development apps
  • A deep knowledge of the content journey, demonstrate consistency throughout all stages of documentation.
  • Strong technical knowledge to enable you to work closely with our Development, Product & Operations teams
  • Knowledge of Agile framework, scrums and the ability to influence and work across teams.
  • An interest and awareness of fraud prevention & identity solutions
