We are looking for a passionate Data Mining Specialist to turn data into information, information
into insight and insight into business decisions to identify fraud trends faster than ever before.
You will conduct full lifecycle activities to include requirements analysis and design, develop analysis and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitor performance and quality control plans to
identify improvements. Using a range of data sources, you need to be comfortable, enjoy and have
a huge interest in finding patterns in data. We're looking to catch Fraudsters who manipulate and
change their patterns regularly. You will be working as part of the Data team to help steer the direction of our data gathering and use of our data going forward to solve a global fraud problem in
many industries, and design ways of finding people who are trying not to be found.
What You'll Bring:
Requirements A passion for finding the solution and patterns in complex data sets Proven working experience in data mining Technical expertise regarding data models, database design, data mining and segmentation techniques Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing large datasets. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings Creative approach to data mining. Constantly looking for new ways to improve the way we work. Impact You'll Make:
Responsibilities Query from large structured and unstructured data sets. Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing insights to solve fraud problems. Work directly with the Fraud team to help develop new fraud identification methods Work with the engineering team to develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality Quantify hypotheses to make strong business proposals. Identify, analyze, visualise and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Filter and "clean" data, review performance indicators to locate and correct code problems Work closely with engineering and fraud to prioritize business and information needs Locate and define new process improvement opportunities. Model complex data to propose actions that enable improved fraud detection.
