Dynamics of the Role

We are currently looking for a Sr. Lead to join TransUnion’s Shared Services group within Accounting and Finance. The position is a key player in Shared Services primary objectives of providing consistent and reliable internal and external customer support, process improvements, and management of vendor relationships. The position would be a visible participant in any project that impacts core responsibilities directly. This Individual would gain direct experience and be a key contributor to the continued success and growth of Shared Services. This individual would have an opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects throughout the organization.

The Team’s Focus

Corporate Shared Services provides global business services to TransUnion in the areas of payroll, finance, accounting, and real estate. Operating as a business within a business, the CSS team manages a network of internal and external service providers—with a focus on process improvement, efficiency, automation and customer service. CSS has played and continues to play a significant role in TransUnion’s drive for operational excellence. Team members learn about diverse areas of the business and have the opportunity to develop new areas for expansion of the department’s breadth and reach.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Leads the royalty relationship and acts as the primary contact for the highly-visible, complex FICO royalty process both internally and externally
  • Reviews and approves complex royalty calculations, journal entries, reporting and payments. Responsible for continuous improvement of related royalty processes.
  • Key participant and occasional project lead for Shared Services transformational projects
  • Responsible for the development of effective lead and lag metrics and analytics for Shared Services Finance operations
  • Facilitates program for Finance Shared Services team members to gain knowledge of and apply continuous process improvement principals • Leads professionals who typically have low latitude and independence in their assignments
  • Sets employee performance objectives, conducts performance reviews and recommends pay actions

What You’ll Bring

  • Ability to lead, develop, and motivate other associates
  • 5 years experience in Accounting/Finance
  • Advanced Accounting/Finance Degree and professional certifications preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational & project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and break down complex processes
  • Solid understanding and experience applying continuous improvement principles
  • Ability to identify issues in a complex processes and develop solutions to rectify the issue
  • Intermediate level financial systems knowledge (preferably Peoplesoft) and Excel skills
