Quality Assurance Specialist

Dynamics of the Role

TransUnion Interactive (TUI) requires a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to conduct testing on products & systems and to evaluate their performance. The potential candidate requires to analyze results and finds solutions to technical problems. The QA Specialist will need to have capability to adapt quickly to new technologies and processes and to demonstrate success in delivering on-time with quality. He/She needs to have a passion for quality and have the ability to collaborate within a team to delight customers with TUI's technology solutions.

How You'll Contribute

  • Work with Project Manager, Development Team, Product Team, and end users to plan System Integration Test (SIT), stress test, and User Acceptance Test (UAT)
  • Collaborate with TUI team to ensure quality software
  • Prepare test cases based on business scenarios including exception cases and regression test
  • Ensure sufficient test coverage for all requirements/user stories
  • Perform both scripted and exploratory test execution
  • Document test cases, test results and log down defects in Quality Control systems like Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Jira with detailed reproducing screenshots / attachments
  • Implement necessary test processes on projects, write test plans , procedures, and scripts, analyze test results
  • Work closely with TUI team to ensure issues/defects are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot defects and manage defect tracking and resolution processes so that defects are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Communicate and provide documentation throughout the project lifecycle that advises TUI team of potential risk areas

What You'll Bring

  • At least 3 years QA experience
  • Proficient to analyze business requirements/scenarios and turn into test cases accurately
  • Experience in testing Java / J2EE applications, mobile responsive web sites, Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) or RESTful web services, batch jobs
  • Knowledge in testing tools like Selenium, SoapUI, JMeter, SauceLabs is an advantage
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Creative and meticulous to dig out hidden defects
  • Patient to re-run all test cases in several times
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese
