Product Analyst

PositionSummary

This position is responsible forsupporting the execution of product strategies for a new TransUnionconsumer-facing website. The successful candidate will help formulate andexecute the roadmap for profitable growth, participate in (or lead) variousresearch initiatives aimed at understanding our customers and competitiveenvironment, and work across functional teams (particularly IT and Compliance)to bring value to the market. Assessing market segments and providing analysisrelated to pricing, positioning, and promotions as well as analyzing revenueand profitability is required. Initiatives may also include research, analysis,and acting as product owner for mid-size development efforts. This positionwill assist with the initial launch of a product as well as developing productextensions and enhancements, and provide basic field support efforts alignedwith individual product management or development strategies.

Dutiesand Responsibilities

  • Designsand conducts product and customer research to guide our productroadmap.
  • Managessurvey, forecasts, modeling, and competitive analysis to determine whatdifferentiating features should be developed along with pricing.
  • Willneed to become an expert in our buyers and users through qualitative interviewsalong with quantitative surveys.
  • Compileand synthesize research into presentations to management. Communicate andexecute business decisions cross-departmentally to ensure successfulimplementation.
  • Actas product owner by communicating product vision to IT department and ensureproduct meets business requirements.

Thisposition requires a bachelor degree with an emphasis in marketing, engineering,business administration, finance, accounting, economics, math/statistics,science or an equivalent field. At least 2 years of experience in aprofessional environment as well as strong business acumen is required. Priorexperience in direct or interactive marketing, statistical or businessanalysis, product management, or management consulting ispreferred. SQL skills are highly desired. Prior experience inhighly regulated industries a plus.

To be successful in this role, theincumbent must have excellent communication and organizational skills, with theability to manage multiple project/products simultaneously. Must be able todemonstrate independence, initiative, and business acumen, and be able to workindependently and in team settings.
