What You'll Bring:
Business Acumen
- Business maturity, strong leadership and listening skills with the ability to analyze input from customers, partners, TransUnion associates, market and environmental trends, to identify and clearly articulate needs and opportunities for growth
- Ability to effectively develop relationships, engage, advise, and persuasively communicate with all leadership levels demonstrating real-time insight, flexibility and sound judgment
- Proficiency in leveraging data driven analytical and insight-driven problem-solving skills to define and create meaningful business cases, to support new products and to drive growth initiatives
- Vision to identify and pull the negotiating levers relevant to design win-win outcomes
Market Development & Planning
- Proven track record in business development, sales or consulting with demonstrated ability to grow revenue and market share by using a strategic, disciplined, and focused approach
- Program management, with the ability to own development of business pipeline and effectively coordinate internal resources and teams to maximize business conversion
- Ability to conduct market research to maintain awareness of industry news and trends and develop hypotheses about the future state of Services industries
- Demonstrated knowledge of sales planning and marketing concepts
Personal Integrity and Leadership
- A constant curiosity, energy and discipline to win the right way
- An ability to build trust at all levels, internally and externally
- Experience creating and delivering exceptional presentations through excellent verbal and written communication skills to position complicated ideas and solutions and gain senior level approvals
- Experience working in a matrixed environment collaborating with cross-functional teams to sell and deliver customer solutions
- Willingness to travel to client meetings and industry events (this requirement will adjust in accordance with TransUnion's policies on employee safety during and after events like the COVID-19 pandemic as well as externally enforced travel restrictions)
We'd Love to See:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or concentration relevant to the role
- MBA from a top-tier university highly desired (can be substituted with relevant job experience)
- 6-10 years professional experience in business development, product development, sales, or consulting (preference given to candidates working in these markets and/or providing data products)
- Prior experience in legal, private investigation, repossession other "locate" or "professional" based industries highly desired (preference given to candidates with working experience in multiple industries)
- Experience with sales management and business productivity tools, such as salesforce.com, Excel, and PowerPoint
Impact You'll Make:
The Market Development Leader will support the Services line of business' efforts to deliver on the revenue targets and business development objectives of its three-year strategic plan and annual operating plan. Services addresses markets including legal, private investigation, repossession/towing, process service, consulting, and real estate.

- You will be part of a team focused on key interactions with leading customers and business partners and the design and delivery of market-driven solutions
- You will develop deep industry insights through market research and client engagement and leverage that knowledge to become a trusted advisor to business partners and key stakeholders
- You will partner with the sales organization to ensure that account planning aligns with the overall market development plan to meet the annual business and strategic goals
