Internal Communications Specialist

The Corporate Communications Specialist is at the center of Life at TU. This role ensures that our people all around the world know what they need to know, when they need to know it. Supporting efforts to inform, influence and inspire associates, this role manages strategic communication approaches that advance TU's brand, strengthen employee engagement and ultimately enable the company to achieve its goals. This position works closely with senior communicators on the marketing team and stakeholders throughout the company to write and disseminate content across multiple channels including email, intranet, digital publishing networks and internal events. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, writing and publishing content for the intranet homepage, digital signage and other key communication channels.
  • Write, edit, proofread, format and distribute companywide email messages.
  • Work with team members and vendors to support key projects and initiatives by developing communications and coordinating communication logistics.
  • Support internal events, helping to arrange schedules, venues, technology, catering, communication, post-event surveys, etc.
  • Mange metrics tracking and evaluation for communications programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, or related field required, as well as a minimum of 0-3 years relevant professional experience, preferred in a comparable industry. Excellent oral and written communication skills required, along with creativity, people skills and attention to detail. Design, photo and video editing skills a plus. The ideal candidate is passionate about communications, enthusiastic about employee engagement and motivated to make an impact in the work place.
