Head of Sales

Dynamics of the Role

This role is responsible for creating and executive sales strategies to drive revenue growth. You will develop, lead, coach and provides leadership & direction to a sales team measured against revenue plan. You will need to protect revenue in our current portfolio of business solutions deployed as well as building out a pipeline for additional revenue opportunities. Providing superior client service is a must. This includes engaging, assessing, leading and facilitating all business development associates and subject matter experts to identify, sell, close and manage existing projects in a collaborative manner. You will also work closely with operations and product teams, as well as other TU business units, and be accountable for delivering against budgeted revenue goals. You will be heavily involved in managing new sales development, implementation of sold solutions, and ongoing account management to ensure we're continuously creating value across our customer base and our sales associates are seen as trusted advisors in the industry. This position reports into the CEO of TransUnion Hong Kong.

How You'll Contribute

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and consistent/repeatable sales processes that drive year-over-year growth from both existing and new accounts
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans, forecasts and goals to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
  • Communicates strategies to direct reports and designs plans to execute against the goals
  • Develop and oversee robust sales processes to manage pipeline generation, territory plan development, account plan development, and annual revenue goals
  • Monitor competitor products, sales, and marketing activities and provides recommendations to improve our products and services to effectively compete
  • Responsible for deep client business issue understanding and the co-ordination of all TU resources to deliver a high value client relationship resulting in expanded client relationships, revenue and profit
  • Accountable for all TU solution deliverables to clients and ultimate client satisfaction for designated clients within their control
  • Ensures deep key customer connection and relationships through consistent partnering with client at the banking and financial industries
  • Lead and coach a team of sales associates and ensures strong revenue growth plans are achieved
  • Review and make recommendations on compensation for sales team to align with company goals
  • Present sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
  • Assists in key customer events when needed, including; negotiations, closing of deals, or development of strategic plans
  • Makes decisions on resources for accounts based on strategy and plan

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in business
  • Master's Degree or MBA preferred
  • 10 years of successful sales and sales management experience on banking and financial services industries
  • Ability to select, develop, and coach team to achieve sales objectives
  • Proven track record of aggressively growing a business in terms of revenue generation and new client acquisition
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with senior executives
  • Financial acumen and ability to develop and communicate sales strategies
  • Proven ability to build relationships based on deep knowledge of large and complex client business
  • Advanced knowledge of direct selling concepts and skills
  • Advanced industry knowledge
