We are making long term investments into a key revenue platform tocreate a brand new market in risk management, and are looking for a Director of Business Development tojoin our team.
Thisposition is responsible for supporting the growth of a disruptive new productsuite for consumers and small business owners.
TheBusiness Development Director will help cultivate markets of Tier 1 partnerprospects for the product suite. Thatincludes helping create our formal B-to-B market position, contributing tomarketing and Sales asset creation, and pipeline building activities in advanceof the product launch. Will also becomean internal SME of the product suite, seeking ways to promote it internallyacross business units. Providingsuperior consultative selling skills and client service focus is a must. This includes engaging, assessing, leadingand facilitating all business development with various Sales teams to identify,sell, close and manage business in a collaborative manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
Help form and execute the go-to-marketstrategy for Tier 1 targets
Create andmaintain the BD presentation for target prospects, appropriate for executiveaudiences
Prioritize and close Tier 1opportunities from a list of targeted prospects
Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) ofthe product suite, sharing industry knowledge, expertise and insights withprospects and internal TU Sales Associates
Primary point ofcontact for internal TU Sales Associates who may identify potentialopportunities for the Product Suite
Assists businessunits in identifying new opportunities appropriate for the Product Suite and insubsequent business case development
Build and leveragerelationships with other TU departments, including Accounting, Operations andother sales groups to meet the needs of the customer
Proactively researchand stay abreast of industry changes, competition, compliance/Legalconsiderations, and marketing intelligence to drive education throughcommunication and training of the various sales teams
- Attend conferencesand industry events as required

- Bachelor degree from a4-year college, preferably with a Business focus
- 4 years Sales experienceinto large enterprise customers required; experience selling toheavily-regulated or risk managed companies preferred
- Demonstrated communicationand presentation skills to all levels of the buying organization includingC-level executives
- Superior organizationalskills with the ability to handle concurrent projects
- Ability to understand andarticulate high-level technical concepts with various technical andnon-technical audiences, as the Product Suite has technical aspects
- Must be able toeffectively work in a team environment, often seeking out new ways to apply theProduct Suite to drive new opportunities
- Experience driving strategicplanning with Sales teams
