Job Title: Application Operations Engineer
Job Description
•Application Operations Engineer will be responsible for supporting a 24x7 mission critical, customer facing business environment.
•The activities will involve monitoring, triage, troubleshooting, escalation and resolution of business impacting incidents.
•Position will interface with a variety of groups including other IT support teams, application development, vendors, customers etc.
Primary responsibilities
•Perform production support activities like monitoring, alert response, escalation, triage, troubleshooting etc.
•Perform pre and post release validations activities
•Act as a central point of contact for command and control of IT Operations.
•Adheres to the established processes/ methodologies and practices while carrying out their responsibilities. This may include maintaining run books and technical documentation of the individual applications.
What You'll Bring:

Position Requirements

  • Excellent logical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills;
  • Application support experience supporting Java based applications on WebLogic (or similar) platform as well as Dot Net based applications on Windows
  • Experience in production control activities like batch processing monitoring, scheduling, tracking and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Incident Management processes with good exposure to troubleshooting and not just coordination.
  • Hands-on knowledge on Linux, Windows, SQL, WebLogic, IIS, Docker etc.
  • Experience using monitoring tool such as Splunk, Nagios, App Dynamics, Grafana, Google Analytics etc.
  • Familiar with networking concepts like LAN/WAN, TCP/IP etc
  • Excellent verbal and e-mail communication skills.
  • Must possess ability to learn newer technologies within a reasonably span of time.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in an application support role preferably in an enterprise environment
  • Willing to work in multiple shifts in a 24*7 support environment.

Educational Qualification and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

ITIL foundation certification preferred
