Account Executive

Dynamics of the Role

This position is accountable to drive new business through identifying and closing sales opportunities in Hong Kong and China. Business opportunities include setup of new credit bureau; increase stakes in established bureau; and sales of products and solutions (eg. fraud and decisioning). Requires an understanding of the entire banking lifecycle, including acquisition, customer retention, portfolio management and to understand both business and technical components of the process.

How You'll Contribute

  • Identify new business opportunities and support expansion strategy. Contribute business development efforts to support and translate new opportunities into sales revenue, new projects, new accounts and new products. Execute and implement strategic target and initiatives, business plan, sales activities, and new product development. Prepare compelling proposals and presentation materials. Responsible for annual sales target and achievement of sales target
  • Identify, develop and establish relationships with key/potential customers and related government or any other authorities
  • Prioritize, align and support challenging projects with focus on revenue and customer satisfaction. Function as the key account manager in Asia countries
  • Take responsibility to contract negotiation and closing. Administer contracts
  • Organize, carry out, host, and support marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate sales efforts upon organized marketing activities such as product launches, promotions, seminars, advertising and exhibitions. Reach out and increase brand awareness of TransUnion as a global leader in credit and information management
  • Work tightly with line manager to assure achieving top line revenue
  • Support the line manager on new lines of business and create enthusiasm on corporation goals, assignments and projects
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • University graduate or above
  • At least 5 years regional sales/business development experience in MNCs preferably in financial, solution, fraud, analytics, consulting sectors. Working experience in multinational companies is preferable
  • Good knowledge of doing business in China and emerging countries is an added advantage
  • Ability to relate to and engage with various levels within a client's organization and have strong networking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for relationships
  • It is a fast-paced role and requires energetic, persistent, self-starting, and out-going character. Be comfortable working with limited direction and be a thought-provoker
  • Capable to take the lead through aggressive sales prospecting and can close the deal
  • A positive record of interpersonal relations
  • Occasionally travel within China is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese including Mandarin
  • Good presentation skills
