Sr. Manager, Product Knowledge

Overview

The Senior Manager, Product Knowledge will be responsible for developing our Retail product training materials. As part of the global center of retail training, the materials you / your team create will be leveraged and deployed across all channels (retail, wholesale, digital) and geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Design the training modules that are relevant to accompany the introduction of each new season and product launch. 
  • Plan and execute the deployment of the training material in line with the seasonal calendar. Gather information from all relevant departments and craft comprehensive training modules that meet the learner and the brand needs.
  • Partner with the Merchandising and Design teams to describe the product aesthetics, and product/material details and ensure key messages are captured in a compelling way that resonates with customers .
  • Act as the “center of excellence” for worldwide retail training and oversee / monitor all training activities related to product knowledge and styling.
  • Partner with the regional training teams to ensure that their training knowledge is constantly updated through "Train the Trainer" initiatives and provide them with support to deploy the training in their region.
  • Identify current and future product training needs with the Client Experience Leadership team as well as the regional business leaders. 
  • Maintain and develop a product training database and training modules collection (digital and print).
  • Partner with the Sales and Service part of the Training and Education team, to ensure Product Knowledge is always delivered in a sales and service framework.
  • Travel in order to introduce the training strategy to markets (train the trainer program).
  • Define and maintain the set of key KPI's to measure training effort and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree; Masters Degree a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position as Training Manager or Trainer preferably in luxury fashion industry.
  • Knowledge of adult learning techniques and philosophies
  • Very strong capabilities in designing Training modules and proficient in MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
  • Experience with various training modules (including traditional instructor-led classes, web-based/virtual classes, self-serve modules and job-aids.
  • Very strong capabilities in designing Training modules and proficient in MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
  • Natural ability to facilitate / present to audiences and command attention and interest in the material
  • Prior experience working and collaborating with international teams/disbursed teams, and rolling out training materials across geographically disbursed teams
  • Resourceful; Strong time management, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to travel internationally, 10% of time
